Pranayama

Yogic breathing, or pranayama, is one of the fundamental elements of ancient yoga practices, used to consciously regulate the breath and harmonize the mind. The word “pranayama” originates from Sanskrit and means the expansion or control of life energy. These practices help reduce stress, improve the functioning of the respiratory system, and achieve inner stillness. Yogis have been using pranayama techniques for thousands of years to support health, endurance, and spiritual development. During the practice of yogic breathing, focus and mindful attention are essential. Different pranayama techniques can create deeper inner harmony and heightened awareness.
